Before I entered the Duomo, I watch the city crew decorating the big tree outside in the plaza. I don't think the pictures accurately convey the scale of the tree. It's way bigger than the one in Boston on the Common. I am not sure I have seen a bigger tree.
The guys in the bucket lift were stringing the lights up, it was pretty cool to watch them work on it. I am not sure if this is before the official unveiling or something, but the lights were off after mass, which was like 7pm!
