
The fair was huge. I mean, it's in a big circle, and I think it goes all the way around the outside of the castle. I was disoriented. It took me over an hour to walk all the way around in the circle. There were several spots where I thought I had gotten all the way around, then saw new stuff. The issue is that there are a few unique booths, but there are also booths peddling the same old mass-produced junk. There were millions of chestnut vendors, for example. Scarves, purses, candy pastries, Christmas textiles, jewelry, balloons. There were some unique areas, one for pets, one for antiques, there was one stretch that had mostly artists.

These Italians are quite serious about the shopping! I bought a few gifts and had a sfogliatelle!
